Michael C. Miller
Mr. Miller is a British-trained Barrister-at-Law with 23 years of experience in law, business and finance. He is currently the principal of Kensington Chambers and regularly practices in the areas of corporate law, investment funds, and securities regulations. He has extensive experience in handling international financial, and corporate transactions; the incorporation and management of domestic and international business companies; investment fund formation; securities regulations; corporate finance; the formation of trusts and wills; the establishment of foundations; real estate; and immigration matters. Mr. Miller was employed with the Securities Commission of The Bahamas as the Senior Compliance Officer from 1998 to 2000. During his tenure there he was involved in the areas of investment funds, securities regulations, and compliance. Before that he was an Associate Attorney in the law firm of Gibson & Co. He is licensed as a Corporate Service Provider; and is a director of several companies, and a range of investment funds.
Mr. Miller was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales as a Barrister-at-Law in November 1995, and as a Counsel & Attorney-at-Law in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in December 1995. Miller completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Leeds in 1994, and the Professional Bar course at the University of Westminster, London, England in 1995. He is currently a member of The Bar of England and Wales, Honourable Society of the Middle Temple; and The Bahamas Bar Association. Mr. Miller completed the Canadian Securities Course in 1999, and the New York Institute of Finance, Investment Analysis course in 2000.
